On July 29th, “2024 National Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Intelligence Competition in Surveying and Mapping Disciplines” organized by the Education Committee of China Society of Surveying and Mapping was held in Dali, Yunnan Province. The students of NJUPT achieved two special prizes, one first prize and one second prize, which is the best achievement in the history of the university in this event, and the two teachers of College of Internet of Things, Mr. Miao Lizhi and Mr. Yang Lijun, were honored with the title of “Outstanding Instructor”.

　　The National College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Intelligence Competition in Surveying and Mapping Disciplines was selected in 2023 as the competition catalog of the National Competition Analysis Report for College Students in General Colleges and Universities, and is the highest level event for national college students to show their scientific and technological innovations in surveying and mapping. The competition is divided into three categories of surveying and mapping skills competition, development design competition, scientific and technological thesis competition, a total of eight tracks, the use of players online participation, the judges offline evaluation of the way, a total of more than 360 colleges and universities to participate in the competition, participating in the nearly 8,000 students, the event scale and impact of the competition hit a new high. The grand prize, first prize and second prize were set according to 5%, 10% and 15% of the number of participating teams respectively.

　　NJUPT attaches great importance to the work of student innovation and entrepreneurship competition, coordinates and deploys all colleges to undertake the related disciplines competition, carries out project simulation exercises and innovation and entrepreneurship project defense report, polishes the project repeatedly and improves the quality of the project continuously. NJUPT will continue to strengthen the work of innovation and entrepreneurship, integrate the concept of innovation and entrepreneurship into the cultivation of all majors in order to cultivate first-class innovative talents with innovative thinking and practical ability.
