In recent years, NJUPT has made significant efforts in graduate student Party building and ideological and political education. The university has focused on constructing a comprehensive ideological and political education system for graduate students, fully leveraging the combat fortress role of student Party branches. This has guided a large number of graduate Party members to pursue their dreams in the new journey and strive in the new era. NJUPT has deeply implemented the Graduate Backbone Training Project, the Times Newcomer Cultivation Plan, and the Service Pioneer Action Plan. The university has also established numerous Party member demonstration points and responsibility posts, forming a series of distinctive brands, such as the Graduate “Times Newcomer” Cultivation Forum, “Ding Shan Study Camp”, “Ding Shan Red Research”, “Guiding Political Ideology Afternoon Tea”, and “Warm Talk Season”. These efforts have led to the emergence of several advanced national graduate Party building collectives and exemplary individuals, including the First Party Branch of Doctoral Students at the School of Electronic and Optical Engineering, the Party Branch of Doctoral Students at the School of Computer Science, Software School, and Cyberspace Security School, the Party Branch of Doctoral Students at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, and the Graduate Party Branch of the School of Educational Science and Technology. Exemplary individuals include doctoral students Li Shuangde, Li Pengyong, and Xu Lei.
Taking this new selection as an opportunity, NJUPT will further integrate Party building work with graduate education and training, rigorously organize branch life, innovate branch work methods, enrich thematic practice activities, and enhance the ability to serve major projects. This will lead to comprehensive improvement and excellence in graduate Party building work quality. The university will ensure that Party member exemplars act as promoters of the Party’s innovative theories, main forces in technological contributions to the nation, leaders in social services, and role models among young students. This will guide graduate students to become the high-level talents urgently needed by the country and the new generation responsible for national rejuvenation.
